YAHREQA! Official Challenge Rules

These Official Rules govern every challenge, cash drop, and drawing offered on YAHREQA.com (each a "Challenge"). Each Challenge page lists that Challenge's sponsor, prizes, prize values, dates, and odds; those details are part of these rules. If a Challenge page and these rules conflict, these rules control. These rules do not apply to programs for children 12 and younger, such as the Atlas to Z Year 1 Contests, which have their own Official Rules (see Section 3).

1. Promoter

YAHREQA LLC, 522 W Riverside Ave #8032, Spokane, WA 99201 · hello@YAHREQA.com. Each Challenge also names a sponsor business and its address on the Challenge page.

2. No purchase necessary

No purchase, payment, or paid membership is required to enter or win any Challenge. A purchase, subscription, membership level, or YAHREQA! Points balance does not increase your chances of winning. Creating a free YAHREQA! account is the only requirement to enter, and it costs nothing.

3. Who can play

• Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.
• Adults (the age of majority in their state of residence — 18 in most states) enter on their own behalf.
• Players aged 13 up to the age of majority may play only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, given through the guardian-consent step at sign-up. The parent or guardian receives an email and must confirm consent before the player can submit Challenge entries. See Section 8 for how prizes are paid to minors.
• Children under 13 may not create an account or enter. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it.
• Not eligible: employees and owners of YAHREQA LLC and of a Challenge's sponsor, and members of their immediate families or households, for that sponsor's Challenges.
• One account per person. Entries from duplicate accounts are void.
• Programs for children 12 and younger, such as the Atlas to Z Year 1 Contests, are not YAHREQA! Challenges. Each has its own Official Rules, and only those Official Rules apply to it; these Challenge Rules do not.

4. How to enter

Follow the steps on the Challenge page and submit your answer through the official YAHREQA! entry form while logged in, before the Challenge closes. Each player may submit one answer per Challenge. Entries by any other method, or made with bots, scripts, or automation, are void. The Challenge closing time is stated on each Challenge page in Pacific Time; our server clock is the official timekeeper.

5. How winners are chosen

A Challenge may include one or both of these prize types. The Challenge page says which.

First Correct Answer (contest of skill). The eligible player whose correct answer has the earliest server timestamp will be the potential winner. Outcome is determined by knowledge and speed, not chance.

Drawing (promotional contest of chance). Every eligible player who submits a correct answer before the Challenge closes receives one entry in the drawing, including the First Correct Answer winner. Within 7 days after the Challenge closes, YAHREQA LLC will select the drawing winner at random from all eligible correct entries using a computer random-number generator. Odds of winning the drawing depend on the number of eligible correct entries received. Odds of winning a First Correct Answer prize depend on the knowledge and speed of the players who enter.

Every potential winner is verified before any prize is awarded (eligibility, one account per person, and compliance with these rules). A potential winner who is verified will be declared the winner. If a potential winner is disqualified or does not respond in time, the prize goes to the next eligible player in timestamp order (First Correct Answer) or to an alternate drawn at random (Drawing).

6. Prizes and prize values

Each Challenge page lists every prize and its value. Cash prizes are paid in U.S. dollars by electronic payment or check. Where a prize is offered as cash or YAHREQA! Points, the winner chooses, and both options have the same stated value. Where a Challenge also offers a sponsor gift card as an alternative, the Challenge page states its value, which may be higher than the cash prize; the winner chooses one option.

7. YAHREQA! Points

• Redemption value: 1,000 YAHREQA! Points = $1.00 in YAHREQA! rewards, such as items in the YAHREQA! store and rewards offered by participating sponsors. The value of a Points prize is its redemption value at this rate (for example, 50,000 Points = $50.00).
• Points are a promotional reward. They cannot be purchased, are not redeemable for cash, are not transferable between accounts, and cannot be used to buy Challenge entries or improve odds.
• We will not reduce the value of Points already awarded as a prize. We will post any change to the redemption rate at least 30 days before it takes effect.

8. Claiming a prize

We notify winners by email to the address on their account within 3 days after winners are determined. To claim, a winner must reply within 14 days and complete a short affidavit of eligibility (and, only if required by IRS rules, a Form W-9). A prize not claimed within 14 days of notice is forfeited and awarded to an alternate as described in Section 5.

Players under the age of majority: we also notify the parent or guardian who gave consent at sign-up. The parent or guardian must sign the affidavit of eligibility and the publicity release on the player's behalf, and any cash prize is paid to the parent or legal guardian. Points prizes are credited to the player's account.

9. Taxes

Winners are responsible for any taxes on prizes. YAHREQA LLC will issue tax forms only where required by law.

10. Winners list

For a list of winners of any prize worth more than $25, send a request with the Challenge name to YAHREQA LLC, Winners List, 522 W Riverside Ave #8032, Spokane, WA 99201, within 60 days after the Challenge closes.

11. Publicity

By accepting a prize, an adult winner allows YAHREQA LLC and the Challenge's sponsor to announce the winner's player tag (username), city, state, and winning answer, without further payment, unless prohibited by law. We will not use a winner's real name or photo without separate written permission. For a winner under the age of majority, this permission is given only by the parent or guardian's signed release.

12. Fair play

Using bots, scripts, automation, multiple accounts, or anyone else's account, or sharing answers in a way that defeats the Challenge, results in disqualification and may result in account suspension. Tampering with the entry process voids the affected entries.

13. Changes, cancellation, and problems

If fraud, a technical failure, or another cause beyond our control corrupts a Challenge, YAHREQA LLC may suspend, modify, or end it. We will post notice on the Challenge page, and we will award prizes among eligible entries received before the problem occurred. We will not change these rules in a way that reduces or withdraws a prize a player has already earned. YAHREQA LLC is not responsible for internet outages, lost or late entries, or third-party service failures, but this does not limit any right you have under law.

14. Privacy

We use entry information to run Challenges and award prizes, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not market to players under 18, and information about players under 18 and their parents or guardians is never shared with sponsors. We use it to run Challenges, verify consent, and deliver prizes. A parent or guardian may choose, separately and optionally, to receive YAHREQA! updates by email.

15. Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Nothing in these rules waives any right a player has under Washington consumer-protection law.
